Overview
Ferrochrome Powder is an iron alloy powder with chromium and iron as the main components. It is one of the main alloying agents used in the steel industry and contains impurities such as carbon, silicon, sulfur and phosphorus in addition to the main components chromium and iron. Ferrochrome contains 55% to 75% chromium, and is divided into high carbon (4% to 10% C), medium carbon (0.5% to 4% C), low carbon (>0.15% to 0.5% C) and micro carbon (≤0.15% C) ferrochrome according to the carbon content.
Applications
(1) In the metallurgical industry is mainly used to produce ferrochrome alloy and chromium metal. Ferrochrome alloy as an additive to steel production of a variety of high-strength, corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, high-temperature, oxidation-resistant special steel, such as stainless steel, acid-resistant steel, heat-resistant steel, ball bearing steel, spring steel, tool steel, etc.
(2) In refractory materials, used to manufacture chrome bricks, chrome-magnesium bricks and other special refractory materials.
(3) In the chemical industry, it is mainly used in pigment, textile, electroplating, tanning and other industries, and can also be used to make catalysts and catalysts, etc.
